Pyongyang, November 5 (KCNA) — The DPRK Red Cross Society is waging proactive activities for protecting the people’s lives and security of the state from the malignant virus.

The society is directing efforts to information activities for letting all the citizens cooperate and help each other in maintaining the stable anti-epidemic situation with self-consciousness that they are responsible for the emergency anti-epidemic work.

The central commission for preventing disaster and all its branches in various parts of the country are urged to enhance the sense of responsibility and role and take timely measures.

Red Cross volunteers are conducting anti-epidemic activities with emphasis put on giving full play to the noble moral traits prevailing in our society.

Visiting households, nurseries, education facilities and co-op farms, they timely inform citizens of the damage caused by COVID-19 worldwide, its danger and updated hygienic and medical knowledge.

They engage in hygienic information activities at public places to make sure that citizens wear masks and disinfect their hands as specified in the anti-epidemic rules.
